Hong Kong with Baby

December 10, 2015

Hong Kong is probably my most visited country of all time. I lost count of how many times I have been there but for some reason it just never gets old. I still like coming back to HK from time to time.

Last month’s HK trip was different though. It was my first time with my baby. It was her second country to visit at 10 months old! Thanks to her sponsors, my mom and dad, who both celebrated their birthday in HK and wanted us to tag along!

Apart from its proximity from my city (it’s only 2 hours away from Manila), going to Hong Kong is always pleasurable because of the food and shopping. It’s also a good place to visit if you like the cold weather. Just make sure you visit during November-March because summer in HK can get really hot too. I guess because of the number of times I’ve been there, there’s a sense of familiarity that makes coming back always better than the last trip. Plus, hello, Disneyland! It’s the nearest Disneyland we Filipinos can go to. Nobody is ever too old for Disneyland! 🙂

Like I said, despite the countless times I’ve been here, this time is different because I had a baby in tow. And I totally enjoyed it! Yes, even without yaya haha! Never mind if it wasn’t as cold as we expected, or if we had to bring the stroller and the baby bag all the time, or if I wasn’t able to do much shopping… Traveling with family always makes me happy as a kid. And I am just delighted I was able to take my kiddo to a new place again. I want her to continue exploring new places.  I can’t wait to travel more with her when she’s bigger.

Unlike our trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, California when she was just three months old, may daughter can now appreciate more things. She wanted to have her photos taken with her favorite – Mickey and Minnie, she loved seeing other kids, and she absolutely enjoyed her “It’s A Small World” ride! This made me very very happy! I cannot wait to bring her back when she’s two years old, and every year if we can. 🙂

Check out a few photos from our trip.  I can’t wait for our next adventure out of Manila! 🙂
