Hello there! It’s been a while! 🙂
The past couple of months have been quite busy…Okay, not quite busy, VERY busy! Aside from carrying another human being while still NANNY-LESS (help please!), we have moved in to our new home last week. Yay! It’s a lot of fun of course but also exhausting to the max!
I feel like I have just SO MANY things to share but just really could not find the time to write. Makes me wonder if it’s easier to vlog in my case. What do you think?
Anyway, I just wanted to share a few precious preggy finds that might be useful to all my fellow expectant mothers out there. There are A LOT of us by the way. Ten pregnant moms just in my own circle! Wow 2018 is a baby boom year! 🙂
So without further adieu, here they are:
- BELLY TUNES
I know a lot of moms have already tried this. Some have actually moved on and upgraded to this new technology that transposes heartbeats and “lessons” instead of music. Don’t know how it works exactly and I forget what that one is called. But anyway, I’m still a believer of the benefits of listening to good music for children. I used regular headphones for my first born since I had no idea at that time that these things exist. I ordered this in the US via Amazon and it’s pretty simple, just gets the job done. Comes with a handy pouch too. 🙂
2. EARTH MAMA ANGEL BABY ORGANIC TEA
This came in quite late since I badly needed it more during my first trimester. But it’s all good and I’m still enjoying the benefits now even I’m already in my “Shamu stage”. 🙂 It really soothes my stomach, helps in digestion, and gives a sense of coffee/tea satisfaction without the caffeine. There are several variants but I chose the Peaceful Mama Tea (Citrus Chamomile) which also helps in my pregnancy/hormone related insomnia. I also ordered it in the US via Amazon. I am not sure if this is available locally but check Healthy Options.
3. OH SO HEALTHY FRUIT CRISPS
Okay, this will seem a little bit pretentious since I really have been guilty of snacking irresponsibly during this second pregnancy. In fact, I am scared of my upcoming glucose test this week! Junk food, dessert, soda…name it, I devour it. Unlike my first pregnancy where I exercised more caution, there is simply no stopping this whale-momma from eating what she wants. 🙂 Needless to say, I like both the bad snacks and the good snacks. These goodies are on the good side of the spectrum. They’re not just healthy but super yummy too! The downside? Small servings 🙁 Not even half of the pouch is filled when you open it. Argh!
When I’m feeling a little bit guilty about all the bad stuff I ate, I choose these instead. These are available at Healthy Options. I don’t have a favourite flavour because everything tastes amazing. 🙂
4. BURT’S BEES SHEER BODY LOTION
I really can’t believe how overly LAZY I have become when it comes to taking care of myself during this pregnancy. Even showering feels like a chore sometimes! 🙁 Eww I know right! But seriously, I have zero tolerance for anything kikay or vain the past 6 months! I mean, yeah I still watch makeup tutorials on YouTube and browse Sephora but apply anything on my face and body? Nah! Nth level laziness I tell you!
Good thing I found this spray-on organic lotion. I still don’t use it regularly but it’s much easier to use than the regular pump. Plus, I love the lightweight non-sticky feel and fruity scent. I get this from Landers Superstore. 🙂
